An original title card cel and background from the MGM Studios animated Barney Bear short "A Rainy Day" (1940). Featuring a stunning image of the short's title written in water within a barrel full of rain water, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece represents an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears at the beginning of the short. Measuring 9.5"x12" overall, with the image area measuring 9.25"x12" and 4.5"x6.5", the piece is in very good condition with minimal paint wear to the cel.
